1. Attribution
Every dossier names the originating forensic firm and links to the original published report wherever a public URL exists. Every news article and short signal credits the original source by name and links to it.
2. Fair Use
Our summaries are transformative: we extract key findings, restate them in original language, and add context — we do not reproduce reports wholesale. Quotation is limited to what is necessary for commentary and criticism. Original research and analysis by The Forensic Ledger is our own work.
3. No Paywall Circumvention
We link to publicly accessible sources. We do not reproduce paywalled or proprietary content in full. Where a source is behind a paywall, we link to the landing page and describe only what is publicly visible.
4. Market Data Sources
Short-interest, borrow-fee, and short-volume figures are drawn from public and semi-public sources (FINRA, SEC, FCA/ESMA, exchange pages, Ortex, S3 Partners, Fintel, IBorrowDesk, Finshort, and others). Each signal cites its specific source. We distinguish daily short sale volume (flow) from twice-monthly short interest (open positions) and note when a figure is a real-time estimate rather than an official number.
5. Takedown Requests
If you are a rights holder and believe our use of your work exceeds fair use, contact the editorial desk. We will review promptly and, where appropriate, edit or remove the disputed material.
