1. What We Collect
When you submit a tip, we receive whatever you choose to provide: an optional name, an optional email, the subject company or ticker, and your message. You may attach supporting material. You may submit anonymously by leaving identifying fields blank.
2. Who Can See It
Tip submissions are visible only to authorized editorial staff of The Forensic Ledger. We do not share tipster identities or contact details with the subject company, with third-party forensic firms, or with any external party, except where compelled by a valid legal order.
3. How Long We Keep It
Tips are retained for as long as needed to assess, verify, and — where appropriate — report on them. Records that do not lead to publication are securely archived and periodically purged. Submitted documents are stored in access-controlled storage.
4. Verification & Use
Tips are treated as leads, not as established fact. We verify independently before publishing. We will not publish your identity or attributable details without your explicit, written consent.
5. Legal Compulsion
If we receive a valid subpoena or court order, we may be legally required to disclose records. Where law permits, we will notify you before disclosure and seek to narrow the scope. We do not voluntarily hand tipster data to companies that are the subject of a tip.
6. Using a Secure Channel
For highly sensitive material, we encourage the use of encrypted channels (e.g., Signal) rather than the web form. Contact us via the Telegram link in the site footer to arrange a secure handoff.
